Join UProjects on a short 4.5 mile walk around the Piethorne Valley.

This lovely short walk is developed in partnership and supported by Oldham Council`s Environmental Service and is featured in the Fit For Oldham project

Meet at the car park at the Ranger Station and toilets at Ogden Reservoir from 09:45 for a 10:00 start.

We will take a 4.5 mile hilly route that will take us around the Ogden,  Kitcliffe and Piethorne reservoirs.

Initially leaving the Ogden reservoir heading south we will be climbing up to Higher Ogden and Ogden Edge before dropping back down to pick up the scenic Rochdale Way to follow a route around the North side of the valley.

A great short walk with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

The walk is approximately 4.5 miles with 750 ft of ascent , a reasonable level of fitness required

Some stiles are encountered along the route
