Walking informally is keeping us healthy, can you help spread the word and join the movement?


Filmed throughout 2020 during various stages of COVID restrictions and lockdowns, a short video for those who love walking and want to inspire others to walk.


Walking is natural, we’ve always done it and during lockdown periods it has been a lifeline for many people. It has helped people physically, mentally and socially. 

Throughout these very difficult periods it has been highlighted just how easy, safe and accessible walking can be to improve and maintain our health and wellbeing. 

When we are unable to go to sport & leisure centres, cinemas, shops & restaurants, walking has been an activity most people have been able to do, and people have been encouraged to take up walking from home because of the many health benefits.

Walking is natural, it’s something we’ve always done. Walking with family and friends is a safe and easy way to have a catch up whilst keeping active

 


UProjects have been supported by GM Walking to develop resources to help people share their passion for walking and encourage others to join them.
Walking with an organised group is great but you can walk informally at any time with others to fit in with your daily routine.
