This lovely short walk is developed in partnership and supported by Oldham Council`s Environmental Service
Meeting at the Cross Keys pub above Uppermill in Saddleworth, we will travel a route that will take us to Running Hill Pits disused quarries, Broadstone Hill, Alderman Hill, the war memorial obelisk at Pots n Pans before returning to the Cross Keys pub. A walk that is featured in Christian Maylor`s great book, Saddleworth Discovery Walks. Fantastic views all around the route. Walk led by qualified Mountain leaders.

Other information:
The walk crosses high moorland terrain that is uneven and can be boggy underfoot so good walking boots are recommended.
The area can be subject to severe weather conditions so be prepared with suitable clothing and spare layers including waterproofs and hat and gloves.
Everything is best carried in a rucksack with water and a snack.
Friendly dogs are welcomed on a lead.
