UProjects supported by Oldham Council’s Environmental Services are offering discounted walks for the UCrew, training starts here for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Walk 14 July
Join UProjects on a short 4.5 mile walk around the Piethorne Valley.
Meet at the car park at the Ranger Station and toilets at Ogden Reservoir from 09:45 for a 10:00 start.
We will take a 4.5 mile hilly route that will take us around the Ogden, Kitcliffe and Pethorne reservoirs.
Initially leaving the Ogden reservoir heading south we will be climbing up to Higher Ogden and Ogden Edge before dropping back down to pick up the scenic Rochdale Way to follow a route around the North side of the valley.
A great short walk with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

The walk is aproximately 4.5 miles with 750 ft of ascent , a reasonable level of fitness required
Some stiles are encountered so may not be apropraite for dogs.
Walkers are responsible for their level of fitness and health condition.
Wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear. Additional layers, hat, gloves, water and a snack are best carried in a small rucksac.
